Expand Brackets

The tabs on the menu bar above provide drill and practice expanding brackets.

Each 10 question test has a time limit of three minutes for easier questions and five minutes for harder questions. Students choose their preferred difficulty level.

Students should have a pen and paper to hand to write out their working before typing in their answers.

Once a test has been marked, students can print their results to record their progress.

Single Brackets has questions such as:    -3(2x - 5)

Double Brackets (Single x²) has questions such as:    (x +7)(x - 4)

Double Brackets (Multiple x²) has questions such as:    (2x - 3)(5x + 4)
